Sabira Bouflah ꩜ Sabibiche is a French textile artist and illustrator based in Brussels with a background in graphic design.

Tufting since 2019, she sculpts wool into compositions built around color. Rooted in a collage and illustration practice, she approaches tufting with the same logic: blocks of color brought together until they settle into each other. She works with volume and scale, from small objects to large installations.
Illustration and textile feed each other in her practice as her tufted works sit between the two: textile paintings where color, texture and volume construct the image together.
In 2023, she published Apprendre le Tufting with Éditions Créapassions. She also teaches the technique through workshops and training sessions (Artesane).
She has been a resident at Les Îles Mardi since 2022.
She accepts commissions from private collectors, interior designers, and institutions.
Studio visits are available by appointment in Brussels.
